This is my entry to the JS Design Competition, the brief was to design a cover for an A4 notebook that reflects ‘what’s hot in 2013’. November 2012 saw the end of typewriter production in the UK so my idea was based around how technology is advancing more and more each year and is changing the way that we communicate and interact with each other. I have tried to create a design that reflects this evolution of technology, mixing modern and traditional with a combination of traditional painting and digital effects.
