Animation puppets from my graduate film ‘Sun-dried’.

Tortoise Puppet:

The tortoise character is made from foam latex with a hard foam shell.

Each limb was created separately so they could be easily replaced if needed during animation. The limbs were sculpted in plasticine, moulded in plaster and cast in foam latex with a wire armature inside.

The shell was chiselled and shaped from a block of hard foam and painted with acrylic.

Gecko Puppet:

Gecko character was made from foam latex with wire armature.
